Chocolate rough slice recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup self raising flour
1 dessertspoon cocoa
pinch of salt
1/3 cup caster sugar
1/4 cup desiccated coconut
110g butter, melted
Topping
1/2 x 395g can condensed milk
1 tblsp cocoa
1 cup icing sugar
1 1/2 tblsp butter, melted
1 cup desiccated coconut
1 tsp vanilla essence
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
Line a 18 cm x 28 cm lamington tin with baking paper
To make base, sift flour, cocoa & salt in a bowl
Stir in sugar & coconut, then add melted butter & mix well
Press into prepared lamington tin & bake for 25 minutes
For the topping, simply combine all ingredients in a bowl & mix well
Cool the cake base slightly
Cover with the chocolate rough mixture while it is still warm & set aside.
Cut into slices when cold.
