Homemade Dog Treats


1 x large beef liver
2 teaspoons minced garlic
3 or 4 tablespoons fennel seeds (optional)

Directions:
Place liver, garlic and fennel seeds in a saucepan of water and boil for approx 40 minutes. Remove from water and allow to cool. Slice as thin as possible and place slices on a baking tray lined with grease proof paper. Bake at 120 C/250 F/gas mark ½ for approx 4 hours or until dried out and crisp. When cooled, divide into zip lock bags and store in freezer. I keep a bag of treats in the panty for a week or more and they do not go off but I keep the rest in the freezer until required. My dogs adore them and they are so cheap to make.
Ps Air your oven out afterwards as they make it stinky.
